J. Benton Construction beat out three local and two off island contractors to win what would be the first of many contracts for DIAGEO. This 208,000 SF barrel aging facility included extensive site work, high-hazard fire protection system, 400,000 gal. above ground water tank, utility building that housed an emergency generator, fire pump and fuel tank as well as an administration building. This project is the first accredited U.S. Green Building Council project in the U.S. Virgin Islands having achieved LEED Silver!
