National Park Service, Repairs To Employee Housing
St. John, USVI
Hurricanes Irma and Maria impacted the USVI National Park and surrounding areas in 2017. Hurricane-force winds, storm surges, tornadoes, and the displacement of inanimate objects caused severe damage. The housing comprises five (5) duplexes on the south side of Lind Point Road and three (3) additional houses in various locations in the Park. Renovations included foundation repair, superstructure, roofing (from minor repair to complete replacement), interior finishes, plumbing systems, HVAC, electrical, fire protection, interior finishes, selective demolition, site preparation and improvements, and minor special construction. There is a mix of both historic and non-historic houses within this project.
