Toshiba 4MW Solar Farm
St. Croix
Toshiba International selected J. Benton Construction to Design/Build a building to protect their inverters for a 4 MW solar farm. This ground mounted utility-scale photovoltaic system is situated on 17 acres in Estate Spanish Town and interconnects to the Gregory E. Willocks Substation that was also constructed by J. Benton Construction. We are very proud to have been the only company to have worked on both projects. This was an important step in the US Virgin Islands achieving their renewable energy goal to reduce fossil fuel based energy consumption by 60% over the next decade.
