Tropical Shipping Dock, Rehabilitation

After many years of use, Tropical Shipping’s St. Thomas loading dock was in poor condition. J. Benton was hired to develop a solution that could be implemented quickly and without disrupting the loading and unloading of Tropical Shipping’s fleet of vessels. Our team demolished and replaced over 400 LF of damaged concrete in between and around the rails that support the large container cranes. Scope also included repairs to the bulkhead without delaying the critical movement of cargo in and out of St. Thomas.
